Chris Hammond, Owner of Main Street CEO

Independent Retail Business Coach

I’m Chris Hammond — a business owner turned business coach who has lived the grind from every angle. I started where most small business owners do: wearing every hat, working every hour, and wondering why my effort wasn’t translating into freedom. Over time, through trial, failure, and a few major wins, I learned how to build businesses that run on systems, not stress.

Today, as founder of Main Street CEO, I lead multiple retail brands and coach other entrepreneurs to do the same — to move from firefighting to focused leadership. My approach is simple: cut the noise, clarify the vision, and build a business that serves your life, not the other way around.

I’ve spent the last 15 years building, scaling, and acquiring businesses on Main Street. When I first got started, our little men’s retail store was doing around $550,000 a year in sales. Today, we’ve grown it into a multi-location operation doing over $2.3 million annually. Along the way, I’ve learned what it really takes to create steady, sustainable growth in small business — not just quick wins, but lasting systems that work.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving more than 100,000 customers, selling tens of thousands of suits, outfitting thousands of missionaries, and training over 200 employees — many of whom have gone on to build successful careers in medicine, sales, and leadership. I’ve also developed over 200 private-label products that have generated millions in revenue across our own stores and partner retailers.

Our stores have been honored as the #1 Menswear Store in Northern Utah four years in a row and #1 Alterations Service for the past two. I’ve also served as President of a 50-member BNI chapter, helping other local entrepreneurs build real relationships and close tens of thousands in new business.

In recent years, I’ve acquired and revitalized multiple businesses — including Kater Shop (2022), Leven’s Menswear (2025), and Bombora Ties (2025) — and helped open three additional partner stores across Utah.

Through all of this, I’ve seen firsthand that small business owners are the backbone of their communities — and that with the right tools, they can build something both profitable and meaningful.

If you’re ready to professionalize your business and scale without losing your soul, that’s exactly what I help people do.
